Instructions for use of Tiki trailers
- The towball must be 50 cm from the ground.
- A car with a trailer attached has a much longer braking distance than it usually has.
- It is important to anchor the load correctly and to place the weight on the center of the trailer – The weight of the ball should be around 50kg.
- Be careful when reversing and watch out that the trailer doesn’t turn sideways.
- Be careful to lash your boat or jet ski correctly.
- Disconnect the plug and, if possible, remove the lights before backing into the water with a boat trailer.
- The support wheel may only be used for simple movement of the trailer. The support wheel must always be raised and tightened before driving.
- Tiki trailers that are to be loaded for a longer period of time (e.g. boat on boat trailer in winter storage) are unloaded with Leca blocks or equivalent to avoid unnecessary wear on wheels, wheel bearings, shock absorbers and suspension. Do not use the support wheel permanently, only when moving the trailer.
- Although the trailers are stainless and made of hot-dip galvanized steel, we recommend rinsing the trailer from time to time (especially the boat trailers). This way, you will take care of your trailer and it will last even longer. Locks, rollers, bearings and other parts benefit from being rinsed in fresh water from time to time.
- Follow the instructions below for periodic checks.
